HELPS FOR SOUL WINNERS The greatest work on earth is soul winning. To know the joy of a soul winner, we must be successful in leading others to Christ. This often requires the ability to point to appropriate scripture passages, which answer questions or solve problems of those we are trying to win to Christ. There are two sources of power for the soulwinner – the Word and the Holy Spirit (Romans 1:16; Micah 3:8; Acts 1:8; 6:10). The Word of God is the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17; Hebrews 4:12). The Spirit and the Word are in perfect agreement. The spirit does not operate apart from the Word. The Holy Spirit cannot wield the sword of the word unless we are thoroughly familiar with the scriptures. Oh! How important that we know our Bible, that the Spirit through us might be able to wield the truth as a means of converting the sinner. Therefore the soulswinner must know the Word of God and be skilful in using and applying the Word. The following are suggested passages helpful in dealing with various categories of those we seek to win for the Lord. SCRIPTURES TO AWAKEN, CONVICT AND ANSWER THE OBJECTION OF SINNERS 1.
