The worship that God approves

Introduction

1.  We need to worship God together
• We are the ones who bring worship to God
     - A worship is what God expects from us: the offer!
- It must be done in the right attitude: fear piety ...
• In the O.T., the Hebrew people offered feasts in honor of God (local solemn)
•In the N.T., Christians worship together on the 1st day of the week to celebrate the Lord

2.  Four elements for worship that God approves
• If one of these is missing, truncated worship, not pleasing to God
Hebrews 12.28

I Celebration:
I come to celebrate the Lord

1. Praise: songs, music, acclamation
• Jehoshaphat used worship to win a battle! 2 Chronicles 20.20-22
• Paul and Silas celebrated and worshiped in the prison – Acts: 16

2. Adoration: prostrate, paying tribute
• Two words that contain various concepts
Worship, reverence, - service (like angels)
Worship in Greek: proskuneo: to bow, stoop, to rise
We contemplate the King:  - who he is, his greatness, holiness, beauty, love ...
• God seeks true worshipers in mind ... the truth John 4.33. Philippians 3.3

II The Word.

1.  There was a giant worship service, the return from exile
Nehemiah 8.1-8, 13, 18. During 7 days, each day listening, receiving the Word
Background: restore the holidays (tabernacle), to - worship God

2.  Gathered around the Word
• Word allows the best rallies
• A worship without the Word is void.

III The gathering of the whole family
1.     The whole family comes for fellowship

2. Worship service should be a place of peace and love
• If there is bitterness and disputes, there is no worship. You must first reconcile with one another and then worship God.
1Thessaloniciens 5.13b . Romans 12.18: “If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men.”
As we learn to forgive, support, resolve conflicts, we grow
•Do not spend more time outside with your friends rather than with your wife.

IV Bring the offering

1.  The offering of our lives
• The best example of the gift from God is Jesus, the Lamb who volunteered to suffer and die
• Your most beautiful gift, that God approves above all: the living sacrifice
Provide your- body: clean hands, heart . Romans 12.1b
Give your body as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, that will be your reasonable worship

2.  The widow offering. Marc 12.42]
• When the people of God are generous, his worship is powerful, living, and approved: Hebrews 13.16

3.  Remember charity and the donation because it is in such sacrifices God is pleased: 1Timothy 6.18.
Paul recommends them to do good, be rich in good works, for the donation, generosity
Deuteronomy 16.16b

[To the people going to Jerusalem to the solemn celebrations...     Do not appear before the LORD empty-handed]

Conclusion

• If the worship contains these four elements, the heart of the Father is pleased - Worship / Word / Family / Offering
• A living worship approved by God, will be celebrated in the New Jerusalem!  Apocalypse 7.9-17
